Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

  • "Coinweft", "we", "us", "our" — Coinweft, a financial education provider registered in Malaysia, operating from Level 22, Menara Prestige, No. 1 Jalan Pinang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur.
  • "Programme" — any educational workshop, course or programme offered by Coinweft, including the Statement Reading Starter Session, the Financial Statement Literacy Course and the Complete Statement Reading Programme.
  • "Participant", "you" — a person who enquires about, registers for or attends a Coinweft programme.
  • "Materials" — workbooks, sample statements, digital resources, glossaries and any other content provided as part of a programme.
  • "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions, together with any enrolment confirmation we send you.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an enquiry form, confirming enrolment or attending a Coinweft programme, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into agreements under Malaysian law. If you are enrolling on behalf of an organisation, you warrant that you are authorised to do so.

3. Nature of Our Services

Coinweft provides general financial literacy education. Our programmes teach participants to read and understand the structure of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.

Important: Coinweft is not a licensed financial adviser, investment adviser or accounting firm. Nothing in our programmes, materials or communications constitutes financial, investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Participants should consult a qualified professional for decisions relating to their personal or business financial affairs.

4. Enrolment and Registration

  • Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of a written confirmation from Coinweft.
  • We reserve the right to decline or cancel an enrolment where we consider it appropriate, in which case any fee paid will be refunded in full.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the contact information you provide is accurate and current.

5. Fees and Payment

  • All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of programme materials unless otherwise specified in writing.
  • Payment is due before the programme begins unless a written arrangement has been agreed.
  • Fees are non-refundable once a programme has commenced, except as set out in Section 6 below.
  • Coinweft reserves the right to adjust programme fees. Changes will not affect confirmed enrolments.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days before the programme start date: full refund of fees paid.
  • Cancellations made 3–7 days before the programme start date: 50% refund of fees paid.
  • Cancellations made fewer than 3 days before the programme start date: no refund.
  • If Coinweft cancels a programme, a full refund will be issued or a place reserved in the next available cohort, at your choice.
  • Refunds will be processed within 14 business days using the original payment method where possible.

7. Participant Conduct

Participants are expected to engage with sessions respectfully. Coinweft reserves the right to remove a participant from a programme if their conduct is disruptive, harmful or otherwise inappropriate, without refund of fees.

8. Intellectual Property

All materials provided by Coinweft, including workbooks, annotated statement examples, digital resources and presentation content, are the intellectual property of Coinweft or its licensors. Participants are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these materials for personal educational purposes only. Materials may not be reproduced, distributed, resold or adapted without prior written consent from Coinweft.

9. Disclaimers

Coinweft programmes are provided for general educational purposes. We make no representation that the content of our programmes will be suitable for your specific circumstances, or that participation will lead to any particular outcome in your business or professional activities.

Programme content is based on general accounting and financial reporting concepts. It is not tailored to any individual's financial situation and does not substitute for professional advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Coinweft's liability to you in connection with any programme or these Terms shall not exceed the fee paid by you for the relevant programme. Coinweft shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from participation in or reliance on our programmes or materials.

11. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be published on our website. Changes do not affect confirmed enrolments made before the update date. Your continued use of our website or participation in programmes after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your participation in a Coinweft programme shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
